Hotel Cala di Volpe

The first hotel to be built on the Costa Smeralda was designed by Jacques Couelle in the 1960s. Located on Cala di Volpe bay you will find here one of the most spectacular views anywhere on the Costa Smeralda. In July and August, this is the place where the rich and beautiful meet, many of the them straight from their fabulous yachts anchored nearby. While lodging at the "Cala di Volpe" in the summer months will set you back at least €750 a night, enjoying pre-dinner drinks at the bar will not. And watching the glitterati enjoying terra ferma is absolutely free. Enjoy this spectacular place.

Ristorante Pizzeria Vecchia Costa

It is our favorite Pizzeria. Their "quattro stagione" is simply delicious, the price (€ 5.00) is right and it is just a short drive from the house: take the road to Arzachena, turn right at the first round-about and drive for about 3km towards Abbiadori and Porto Cervo. You will find Vecchia Costa on the right, just opposite Sgaravatti Land. Open all year round, but no pizza for lunch.  Buon appetito! (Tel. 0789-98688 - take out orders accepted)

Ristorante Gianni Pedrinelli

Ristorante Pedrinelli is for that special occasion when you and your family want to indulge in the secrets of the sardic and italian cuisine. Their cuisine used to be among the best on the Costa Smeralda, although recently price and quality have moved in opposite directions. Great ambiente.  The restaurant is located on the road from the house to Porto Cervo, about 2 km past Abbiadori on the left. Open May-Sep. Tel. 0789 / 92436.

Ristorante Frati Rossi

Another very chic restaurant with a first class sardic and italian cuisine located high up in the hills of Porto Cervo. Just before the southern entrance of Porto Cervo, take a left up the hill and follow the signs. The view from the terrace of Frati Rossi down on Porto Cervo is spectacular. Tel.:0789 94395

Rose Mary

A very romantic place overlooking the bay at Liscia di Vacca. Perfect for that candlelight dinner "a deux" on your wife's birthday. The sunsets are awsome and the irish cuisine taste great. Sorbets, lemon cake and irish coffee a-go-go! Ristorante Rosemary is located in Liscia di Vacca: coming from Porto Cervo drive through the village. At the end, instead of turning right to Baia Sardinia, continue straight ahead and down the road to the sea. After a few turns the restaurant is on the right. Tel. 0789.91185.

Hotel Romazzino

A real gem of mediterranean archictecture offering breathtaking views towards the islands of Soffi and Mortoria. This is a great place for a drink before making the rounds in Porto Cervo or Liscia di Vacca. Continue along the bay from the Cala di Volpe towards Capriccioli beach, take a left on the top of the hill before Capriccioli and continue for about 1.5km.

Ristorante Belvedere, Abbiadori

Great spot for lunch. Fabulous antipasti and their pasta is out of this world. Turn right on the road from the house to Porto Cervo at Abbiadori and follow the road to Cala di Volpe. As the road winds down, before the first right turn you will find the Belvedere on your right. The view from the parking lot on Cala di Volpe is breathtaking, from the restaurant you only see the parking lot..... The place is owned by two friendly brothers who have lived in Germany for a while. Good fish and meat as well.
